Welcome to IRRI Coffee Shop - BeanHub, a hidden gem nestled within the grounds of the International Rice Research Institute in Los Baños, Laguna. This coffee shop offers more than just a quick caffeine fix; it serves as a culinary crossroads where local flavors intersect with international cuisine.
Upon stepping inside, you're greeted by the vibrant ambiance that reflects a blend of cultures. The menu features a variety of options, showcasing traditional Filipino dishes alongside international favorites. However, some customers have noted that while the Filipino offerings may lack a bit of punch, items like the turon shine with excellence, perfectly balanced and utterly delightful.
Dining here is not just about eating; it's about experiencing delightful gastronomy at surprisingly affordable prices. One reviewer shared that a filling lunch comprising dishes like Chicken Biryani, Bicol Express, and Ginataang Tulingan could be enjoyed for under 400 pesos—truly a steal! This exceptional value is especially appreciated in a setting that offers both quality and quantity, reminiscent of a more upscale restaurant experience.
The sheer variety found here means there's something for everyone. From satisfying lunches to refreshing watermelon juice that should not be missed, every visit is bound to present new culinary delights. Furthermore, the convenience of self-service water and cutlery adds to the casual dining atmosphere, allowing visitors to feel at home.
However, it's important to note that during peak hours, the service can become overwhelmed. Patrons have reported a slight wait, but it's a small price to pay for such quality eats. Guests have also suggested that the ambiance could be enhanced with better light control and cooler temperatures for a more comfortable dining experience.
In addition to savoring the unique offerings at IRRI Coffee Shop - BeanHub, visitors can extend their experience by delving into the nearby IRRI Museum and souvenir shop, making this location not just a stop for food, but a destination rich in education and culture.
In summary, IRRI Coffee Shop - BeanHub is a culinary haven for those who seek to explore diverse flavors amid a cozy setting. Whether you're a local or a traveler, this coffee shop promises an enriching food journey that satisfies both the palate and the pocket.

Idk if it's because they serve other nationals here but the Filipino food is a bit bland. Their turon is divine though, the ingredients are all there in proper proportion. Variety is also very good. Service is okay but they are understandably overwhelmed during peak hours. Ambiance could be improved by adding blinders for the glaring noontime light. Room temperature can use a bit more cooling too.

Good food and very affordable. I stayed at UPOU for 5 days, and this is where I ate all my lunches. Recommending getting the Watermelon juice whenever available. A lot of options to choose from. After eating, try to visit the IRRI museum, coffee shop and souvenir shop on the side. A lot of parking slots are available in the back even when there are a lot of employees.

Made sure to give myself 30 minutes after I ate before I write this review to bring me back to my senses. This is an international cuisine themed canteen. We ordered the following: Chicken Biryani Bicol express Ginataang ng puso ng saging Ginataang tulingan 2 calamansi juice 2 rice I included the rice because the rice is really good. Imagine all of this is only 370 pesos! And it gave us a restaurant food experience in terms of taste. Its probably even far better then restaurants. Best 370 spent!! If there is 100 stars here I will enter 100 stars lol.

Under a new concession, the IRRI main cafeteria has more local and international food choices at an affordable price. The daily menu covers a lot of Filipino foods while other international dishes are also served. You have to queue to get your food and pay at the counter which now accepts Gcash and Maya for payment. Cold water and cutlery is available as self service. After eating, you have to bus your eating utensils at a dedicated long table on the right of the cafeteria. They also sell snacks and desserts. Great food at a more affordable price.

Affodable coffee at only 40 pesos for a cappucino, a great view of the rice fields and mountains, as well as having public wifi.

It was nice visiting this place again after a decade. As far as I know, this is the only café in the area, making it a go-to spot for professionals, students, and visitors looking for a coffee break. The space is orderly and somewhat homey, with an artificial pond at the back and a few al fresco tables. The shop closes at 5 PM, which is a bit disappointing but understandable. I arrived a few minutes past closing time, yet they were kind enough to take my order. Since the indoor seating was already closed, I could only use one of the outdoor tables. I’d love to come back and try their dishes next time.
